the latest muumuu is made of Kaffe Fassett Regency,

and pattern E from Yoshiko Tsukiori's Stylish Dress Book.

this fabric reminds me of the last big drought in California in the 1970's when all but everything died except the determined Gazanias.

i ordered 3 1/2 yards of this fabric and have quite a bit left over

for future quilt making. since i recently took the thick comforter off the bed for the season i am anxious to start a summery light weight quilt/coverlet.

i picked up 3 yards of 100% linen from IKEA recently, and am now debating what pattern to use with it.  it's such a nice heavier weight fabric, and the price was amazing for linen. whenever i am near an IKEA i just have to stop to look at their fabric selection, which seems to differ from store to store.

i made a bib for a friend's first grandchild using 

Lotta Jansdotter's pattern, IKEA coated fabric 

and some batik fabric from my stash.

i really like the pattern shape.
